Sherilynn Dashwood

Hi! I have been a dental hygienist since 2006, and have been providing mobile dental services since 2019.

I absolutely love what I do!

I initally started the mobile dental hygiene program because I wanted a change from working in a traditional dental setting, however, I quickly realized how much of a need there is for mobile dental services in continuing care homes as well as for those experiencing limited mobilty.

My dad is living with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, so I understand first-hand how difficult it is to provide thorough oral care. It is also very challenging to bring him to a dental office for services.

My dental hygiene education has been through Mount Royal University , Vancouver Community College, and University of British Columbia. I have a particular interest in oral pathology as well as the oral-systemic links (how our oral health is closely related to our general health).

When I’m not providing care to dental hygiene clients, I’m most happy running along any of our rivers in Calgary, taking in a concert (I love country and folk), cross-country skiing, practicing yoga or spending time with my family.
