Sherilynn Dashwood

Hi! I'm Sherilynn, a Registered Dental Hygienist, and I've been practicing dental hygiene since 2006. Since 2019, I've had the privilege of providing mobile dental hygiene services throughout Calgary, Okotoks, Airdrie, and Cochrane.

I truly love what I do.

When I first started Bloom Mobile Dental Hygiene, I was looking for a way to provide care outside of the traditional dental office. It didn't take long for me to realize just how great the need was for compassionate, accessible dental care for people living in continuing care homes and for those with mobility challenges.

This work is deeply personal to me. My dad is living with early-onset Alzheimer's disease, so I understand firsthand how difficult it can be to provide thorough oral care and how overwhelming it can be to bring a loved one to a dental office. That experience has shaped the way I care for my clients—with patience, empathy, and a commitment to meeting people where they are, both physically and emotionally.

My education includes training at Mount Royal University, Vancouver Community College, and the University of British Columbia. I have a special interest in oral pathology and the connection between oral health and overall health. I believe that maintaining a healthy mouth is an important part of supporting a person's comfort, dignity, and overall well-being.

When I'm not caring for clients, you'll most likely find me running along Calgary's beautiful river pathways, cross-country skiing, practicing yoga, attending a country or folk concert, or spending time with my family and our dog.
